  • Leopards are medium-sized cats found in a range
of colours from pale yellow to grey to chestnut.
  • A leopard's shoulders, upper arms, back are
marked with dark spots in a rosette pattern,
while the head, chest and throat are marked with

    forests.

.LIFE.
  • Leopards can live up to 20 years of age!
  • Leopards are found throughout most of Africa and
    Asia.
  • In the country they are usually found in a
variety of habitats including forests, mountains,
    grassland and deserts.

  • Leopards eat small hoof stock such as gazelle,
impala, deer and wildebeest. On occasion, they
may also hunt monkeys, rodents and birds.

BEHAVIOUR
  • Leopards are nocturnal animals.
  • During the day, they rest in thick brush or in
    trees.
  • Leopards prefer to live alone. They are very
agile and good swimmers. They are able to leap

THREATS
  • Threats to a leopard are human poaching.
  • People kill leopards for mostly their skin.
  • People use their skin for lots of thingslike
jumpers, on their shoes or even on handbags!

9
ITS FAMILY.
  • As I have said that for most of the year leopards
    live alone.
  • The only time when leopards are together is
mating season when the female leopard is looking
after the cubs they will live with their mother
until they are nearly full grown.
  • When the Leopards meet each other and except
each other during the mating season, they stay
together only until the Male has mated.

10
  • Cubs take 90 to 105 days to be born.
  • Nobody knows how many cubs are born at a time.

11
POPULATION
  • There are not many leopards left in the world.
  • This is due to people poaching for skin or their
    teeth
  • They would use this to make valuables or
    ornaments.
