10 was feeling sad because his roof was falling
off and he didnt know what to do. Luckily,
Number Rod 9 came walking by. Please can you
help me to fix my roof? asked 10. Id love to,
said 9, But Im just not tall enough to reach.
If only I was as tall as you.

Number Rod 9 thought long and hard. Suddenly, he
came up with a brilliant idea! What we need is a
little help from our friends. said 9 and with
that, he hurried away to the Number Rod Play Park
to look for some of his friends.

When Number Rod 9 arrived at the play park, he
carefully explained to his friends the problems
that poor Number Rod 10 was having and how he
thought they could help.
10s roof is falling down but Im not tall enough
to help him fix it. I think that if we each
could find a partner to join with, we could make
ourselves as tall as 10. Then we could reach his
roof and help him push it back!

be an excellent idea and went immediately to see
Number Rod 10. The first to arrive was Number
Rod 9 who had teamed up with Number Rod 1.
