Legal requirements

• The National Environmental Biodiversity Act
  (NEMBA) instructs the South African National
  Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) to
• collect, generate, process, coordinate and
  disseminate information about biodiversity and
  the sustainable use of indigenous biological
  resources, and establish and maintain databases
  in this regard

• giving a total of 27 bodies that must communicate
  with the private sector involved with wildlife
