• iPads are expanding the learning experience both
  inside and outside the classroom. They can be
  used for interactive lessons, study aids, and
  productivity tools (Apple Inc., 2011).
• The iPad is a light weight, multi-touch screen
  tablet. Different apps can be purchased for
  educational use (Apple Inc., 2011).

• Potential use in the science curriculum include
  the following applications
• Physical science application, such as Elements,
  allow for students to interactively engage with
  the elements
• Life science application, such as Molecules,
  allow for students to see the molecules of life
  (DNA) in 3D
• Earth science application, such as Solar Walk,
  allow for students to interactively engage with
  the planets of the solar system

  technology (Smaldino, Lowther, Russell).
• Progress as needed through Four-phase  process
  (Prensky, 2006).
• Make sure students stay on task while using the
  iPad.
