• DoS attack
• Makes a computers resource unavailable to
  intended users
• Flood network, disrupt server, prevent access,
  disrupt service or person.

Worms

• Write Once, Read Many (WORM)
• Self-Replicating software (malware) that spreads
  through a network
• Consume bandwidth and random computer crashes

Viruses

• Self-replicating and self-executing malware
  causing a program to operate incorrectly
• Replaces executable file with virus copy, destroy
  data, delete files, reformatting hard disk,
  computer crash
• Pop-ups and take up memory

E-Mail Hoax

• Scam used via e-mail to trick the user with false
  information
• Get money, start chain mail, spread viruses,
  steal identity
• Ask for password, offer free service, make up
  stories

Prevent spreading of Internet Crimes

• Keep up to date virus protection
• Be cautious when opening e-mail
• Security updates with computer
• Do not forward chain letters
• When having a virus, do not send it or
  communicate with others via internet
• Do not overlook computer problems, try to solve
  them
