Title: Bottle It Up
1Bottle It Up
2Environmentally Friendly
- An average of 66 billion water bottles are
consumed by people each year. - Most non reusable water bottles are either down
cycled or just put into a pit, even when you
think you're recycling them. - Only 13 of water bottles get recycled.
- Estimated 2 million tons of water bottles end up
in landfills each year. - It takes 1,000 years for water bottles to start
decomposing in a landfill - People drink plastic bottles because they are
easier to dispose.
3Health
- Plastic water bottles contain Benzene which can
cause cancer. - BPA is known to be a dangerous substance that can
be found in water bottles.
4Overview of our project
- We plan to sell re useable water bottles to CHS
students teachers for 5 - Profits received from this will go towards
implementing a water filtration drinking fountain
at school. - Goal to lower the amount of plastic throw away
water bottles on campus.
5Beneficial for the School
- By selling these reusable water bottles the
school can become more green. - If the water bottles are sold then the school
will receive a water filtration system.
6Who We Have Talked to
- Mrs. Ford ? Mrs. Ford thought the project was a
great idea and was happy that it would be
benefitting the school. - Mrs. Barthel ? Mrs. Barthel 100 supports our
idea. - Mrs. Saum ? Mrs. Saum loves the idea and thinks
it will be beneficial for the school and
environment. - Mrs. Risinsky? Mrs. Risinksky would be willing to
sell the water bottles in the bookstore. - Mrs. Murphy? Mrs. Murphy is willing to sell the
water bottles in the cafeteria. She just wants to
make sure that the cafeteria would be making a
profit from selling the water.
7How we will implement
- Theology teachers have agreed to play a video our
marketing team has created. - They will provide order forms we will either
have them collect and order form OR we will
collect during lunches after school. - Once students place their order we will then make
ours with the company.

15Why do we feel a dress down day would help our
cause.
16Our question for Mr. Worland
- Would you be willing to grant a dress down day if
people purchased our water bottles?
17Thanks for considering helping the environment,
our school, and our class.
