Measuring and Estimation

• Main Idea Students will understand how to use
  different objects in their environment to
  estimate and measure length and weight.
• Activity Students use various objects in the
  classroom to measure specific items on a list
  provided by teacher. Students will record their
  results using a chart. Students will share their
  results with the class.
• Expansion Students will continue to keep a
  journal of various objects they measure and how
  they measured it outside of the classroom.
