• Blank paper for notes go in the front
• PowerPoint printouts and lecture notes go in
  CLASS NOTES/LECTURE
• Notes you have taken from the text goes in TEXT
  NOTES
• OTHER NOTES are for notes that you have made or
  found on your own relevant to the class

• HANDOUTS is not the syllabus. They are the
  material that is given in class that doesnt have
  a home in any other section
• VOCABULARY is where your vocabulary assignments
  go. Completed vocabulary assignments are to be
  placed in the front of section

• RESEARCH is for the material you have accumulated
  for your research paper/presentation
• ASSIGNMENTS COMPLETED is for any assignment
  completed. Assignment ready for grading needs to
  have the top right corner turned down for
  identification. Date completed written on the
  tab.

• PAST TEST is for the test given back for future
  review
• SYLLABUS should be in sheet cover

Grading of notebook

• When grading the notebook
• all materials need to be in the assigned places
  or grade will be reduced
• First Notebook review will be Aug. 31
• (will not be graded but will be part of your
  participation grade)
• Notebooks will be graded 4 times during the
  semester
• Unannounced notebook checks can occur throughout
  the semester

• If you have purchased the Avery 23285 WorkSaver
  8-tabs.
• You can go to the class web site and download the
  pre-made labels for the tab labels sheet that
  comes with the tabs. To print tabs you will need
  to setup the printer.

Grading

• Having your name on the notebook
• on the front and on the spine
• This includes the name of the class
• Everything is 3 hole punched
• points taken off if things are just placed into
  the notebook
• Completed assignments are in correct section
• points will be taken off if completed paper/pages
  are in the wrong section

Grading

• Missing material
• the point of having a notebook is to keep
  information together.
• Points will be taken off for each paper/page not
  found in notebook - no excuses!
• Misplaced material
• the notebook is to organize your material for
  class and studying. Not having all material in
  the notebook will result in loss of points.

• 4pts everything 3 hole punched
• 4pts completed assignments in right section
• 4pts Missing material
• 4pts misplaced material
• Total 20pts
• Graded 4 times over semester
• Later changes in grading will be announced prior
  to grading
