• Job related accidents accounted for more than
  14,000 worker deaths.
• Nearly 2.5 million workers were disabled.

  job-related disabilities as from strikes.
• Estimated new cases of occupational diseases
  totaled 300,000 cases.

Who Runs OSHA?

  (g) of 29 CFR 1910.1200 of the OSHA regulations

MSDS Requirements

• They are required as a part of any compliance
  obligation to be available and displayed
  prominently in the workplace.
• They must be written in English and contain

• The chemical and common names of the substance
• A listing of the ingredients
• A list of known carcinogens or other known
  hazards
• Any specific hazards
