What is a verb? Ntbk p. 140

• Verb a word that shows action or a state of
  being.
• Action Verb shows an action that can be
  seen, felt, heard, or thought.
• Ex. The wagon flipped over.
• Linking Verb tells about/describes the subject
• Ex. Squirmy is tired.
• Helping Verb helps the main verb
• Molly must escape.
