Highway Trust Fund - Revenue

• July 2014- Congress transfers 11B from general
  fund to HTF to support current spending levels
  through May 31, 2015
• HTF receives 40B annually in revenue and
  interest
• MAP-21 spends roughly 53B annually
• 13B annual funding gap to maintain current
  spending levels

• At minimum, maintain current funding plus
  inflation
• Pass a 6-year reauthorization bill provide
  predictability and certainty in funding and
  policy

  population to improve transportation connectivity
  to disadvantaged Americans and neighborhoods with
  limited options
• Requires MPOs to offer a higher degree of public
  participation
