Latest Addition

• As you know, I have a collection of over 300
  frogs
• They are in all sizes shapes and colors
• Some are fishing, playing golf
• Some of them make noises or sing
• The latest addition to my collection is The
  Chilean 4 Eyed Frog

Latest Addition
From the front, you can see an adult frog and a
young frog on its back.
But from the back, you can see 2 more eyes on
each frog.

Chilean 4-Eyed Frog

• Sitting normal the back eyes are not visible,
  hidden by his back legs
• When danger comes around the frog raises its back
  end
• The false eyes appear and the frog looks
• Like he is larger than he really is
• Like he is facing a different direction
• These eyes cant see they are glands that
  shoot a poison at its enemy

Our Text

• Abijah (Abijam) is king of Judah
• He is the son of Rehoboam, grandson of Solomon
• Jeroboam II is the king of Israel
• There were many battles over territory and
  religion
• Israel sent some troops around behind Judah
• Judah saw that they were in an ambush

• Abijah cried to the LORD for help
• There was a great victory for Judah
• Judah killed 500,000 of Israel
• When the enemy is sneaking up from behind we
  need to be 4-eyed frogs

Lessons and Observations

• Some people try to look larger than they really
  are
• Hypocrites pray to be seen, give to be seen
• Boast brag about their righteousness
• Appear to fast look like they fasted for days
• We need some defense mechanism
• Turtles and skunks have a defense mechanism
• Some hide, some shoot poison, some have quills,
  others just spray stink

• Looks are deceiving
• You cant judge a book by its cover
• We must not be deceived by looks
• Samuel 1 Samuel 167 - But the LORD said to
  Samuel, Do not look at his appearance or at his
  physical stature, because I have refused him. For
  the LORD does not see as man sees for man looks
  at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at
  the heart.

• Many are like this frog
• Appear larger (more important) than they really
  are
• Headed the other direction
• Cant see what they should see
• Shoot poison at their enemies
• Are you what you appear to be?
• Are you a Christian?
• Are you headed the right direction?
