Title: Resiliency
1Resiliency
- Does everyone have resiliency?
- Yes, it just has to be found. Sometimes it is
buried.
2What is Resiliency? The ability to bounce back
after a bad situation.
3How can you recover your resiliency? It is
never actually lost. It is just sometimes buried
and needed to be uncovered again. One must
understand the mind, thought and consciousness to
gain a good understanding of resiliency.
4What is the definition of mind? The energy of all
creation, both formless and form
5What is thought? The capacity to create form from
formless energy
6What is consciousness? The awareness of the
process of creation, and of what we have created.

8Why can some people find resiliency faster
than others? They realize at a faster pace that
bad things do happen but it is not the end of the
world. They realize that it is okay to have
negative thoughts as long as you do not dwell on
them and let them run your life and keep you in a
negative state of mind.
9What can educators do help teach
resiliency?Have compassion for everyone
regardless of their differences.Listen to the
stories and/or hardships of everyone.Do not
force them into doing something you feel is the
right and only way.

13Do children find resiliency faster than
adults?I would say yes because they can have an
argument one minute and be playing together the
next. Adults often times seem to stay mad longer.
14Why do you feel adults are less resilient
than children?Adults typically have more stress
in life. They typically have a job therefore
carrying the financial burdens. They may have
relationship problems. Most likely have less
time to unwind than children.
15What may cause children to bury their
resiliency?Stress of parental problems that they
see.Enabling parents.Traumatic events such as a
divorce or death in family.
16How can resiliency be built?Celebrate
efforts.Teach survival and life skills.Practice
unconditional positive acceptance.Share
humor.Model being a resilient adult.Establish
close and supportive relationships.
17Compare the Inside Out Approach to
Outside InExplain that people often view their
negativity happening because of the negative
outside events. Explain that once you use what
is inside with your thoughts, it is much easier
to cope with what is happening on the outside.
18Final pointsExplain that is okay to have
negative thoughts but recognize them as that and
let them pass.Do not dwell on negative
events.Realize that when someone is in a low
mood it is not a good time to try to talk with
them.Remember that our mind is on a continuum.
