2Gods Great Exchange
- The Main Message of the Bible
3If you were to die tonight, are you sure you
would have eternal life?
4What is it that makes you certain?
- Or, to put it another way...
5 If you were to die tonight and stand before God
and he should ask you, "Why should I let you
into my heaven?"
- ..what would you tell him?
6What God Demands
7Be holy, because I, the Lord your God am holy
(Leviticus 192).
8To be holy means to be completely set apart from
sinners, to be without sin, without a flaw of any
kind, to be absolutely perfect.
9What God Demands
HOLINESS SIN
10Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your strength and
with all your mind and Love your neighbor as
yourself (Luke 1027).
11Do this, said Jesus to the man, and you will
live (Luke 1028).
12What God Demands
LIFE
13What God Sees
14All have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God (Romans 323).
15Your iniquities have separated you from your
God (Isaiah 592).
16What God Sees
HOLINESS SIN
17The wages of sin is death (Romans 623).
18What God Sees
DEATH
19As sinners, how can we possibly be in a right
relationship with God?

Comparison
24no to all three
25There is a way that seems right to a man but in
the end it leads to death (Proverbs 1625).
26Whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles at
just one point, is guilty of breaking all of it
(James 210).
27GOD'S GREAT EXCHANGE
28Jesus Christ
- eternal Son of God
- became the Son of Man
29Cross
30Can any of you prove me guilty of sin (John
846)?
31By his holy, sinless life, Jesus perfectly
fulfilled every requirement of God to qualify for
life with God now and life with God forever.
32What God Demands
LIFE
33The Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all
(Isaiah 536).
34God made Jesus guilty of our sins!
35Our sins to him
36My God, my God, why have you forsaken me
(Matthew 2746)?
37It is finished (John 1930)!
- Our debt to God has been paid!
38But what about God's other requirement...
39His holiness to us
40God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so
that in him we might become the righteousness of
God (2 Corinthians 521).
- God has credited Jesus holiness to us!
41Hes life, were death
42He became what we were
43We became what we were not
44What God Demands
LIFE
45The wages of sin is death
God's Promise
- but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord (Romans 623).
46Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be
saved (Acts 1631).
47It is by grace you have been saved, through
faith--and this not from yourselves it is the
gift of God--not by works, so that no one can
boast (Ephesians 28,9).
48Nothing in my hand I bring. Simply to Thy cross
I cling.
49Why should I let you into my heaven?
50In faith we point to Jesus and say,
- He's why you should let me into heaven. Your Son
has opened the way for me. He is my Savior.
