8Cure for HIV or AIDS?
- Medicines can slow down the virus but there is NO
vaccine that prevents or cures it.
Now a pandemic (global outbreak)
9Treatment for STDs
- STD can cause severe, long-term health problems
if left untreated. - Some are incurable but need medical attention.
- If exposed, to an STD, visit a public health
clinic or your doctor. - By law, all STD information is confidential.
- Infected people have a social obligation to
prevent the spread of STDs.
10Make a commitment to abstain from sex until
marriage!

- Avoid events where drug use or alcohol is
present - Practice refusal skills, using body language
as well as words. - Choose relationships carefully.
