We looked at cold colours and made an icy blue
pattern and we used food colouring to paint over
masking tape to make a cold, tree picture. It was
like magic when we took the tape off.

• We made a Polar Bear and a Penguin using
  techniques of, paper tearing, scrunching and
  sculpture

We linked senses to the winter theme, smells and
touch.
We rubbed cinnamon sticks and nutmeg on sandpaper
to create a winter, warm smell and cut it into
the shape of a gingerbread man.
