• Sweat glands two types
• Merocrine 3-4 million over the body,
  concentrated in the palms, soles and forehead,
  function is to cool the body,
• Sweat is 99 water, 1 waste
• Insensible perspiration sweating with out
  wetness of skin
• Diaphoresis sweating with wetness of skin, heat,
  exercise, (1L/hour)

• Apocrine
• Occur in groin, anal region, axilla, areola and
  beard area
• Primary function sent for attraction
• Males emit more in sexual response and female
  release is cyclic with menstruation

• Sebaceous holocrine gland
• Primary function to produce oily substance to
  keep skin and hair from drying out
• The oily substance is called sebum
• Shampoo removes sebum and conditioner and lanolin
  which is sheep sebum
• Brushing hair is the best way to prevent damage
  from drying (i.e. split ends)

• Ceruminous
• Are found in the external ear canal
• Primary function is to produce cerumen (earwax)
• Cerumen protects inner ear from bugs, debris,
  water and is antibacterial

• Mammary
• Not to be confused with breasts, both sexes have
  breasts only females have mammary glands
• The female breast contains a relatively small
  amount of mammary glands in relation to the size
  of breast
• Produces milk for offspring during pregnancy or
  hormone imbalance
