  • Dear Parents and Students,
  • The purpose of this lesson is to re-teach two
    important standards that students will be tested
    on for the up-coming CST (California Standardized
    Test) for history. The second objective is to
    teach students how to respond to a writing prompt
    which is also part of one school district and CST
    test for English. Please know that my objective
    is to teach students how to respond to a prompt
    and tap into prior knowledge about two topics we
    have already studied in this class. I am not
    trying to impose religious views onto my
    students. This is information taken directly from
    the textbook for the purpose of delivering
    textbook curricula. I am re-teaching and
    reinforcing main ideas and objectives to help
    improve reading comprehension and writing skills.
