• VISION STATEMENT
• The Meridian Woods Youth Group is a safe and fun
  place that exists to help its members develop
  FOCUS through
• Following Christ- As Christians following the
  example of Jesus Christ spreading the Gospel
  and using the Bible as a guide to improving our
  lives.
• Outreach- We will participate in activities that
  will bring others to God as well as minister to
  our friends and the community.
• Celebrating God- We will praise the Lord with
  enthusiasm and sincerity, becoming an important
  part in overall worship.
• Unity- Our youth group will operate as a unified
  family that supports and encourages one another.
• Serving- We will show Jesus love by
  participating in service projects that benefit
  the church and the community.

• STUDENT GOALS FOR 2005
• To participate in personal Bible study time every
  week with the opportunity for monthly group
  follow up.
• To have two members of the youth group serving on
  the Youth Advisory Committee by 2006.
• To participate and plan 2 outreach ideas in 2005
  with the intent of introducing their friends to
  the Meridian Woods Church of Christ.
• To participate and plan three service projects
  for the group. (2 summer, 1 fall)

• To have an active presence in worship without the
  distractions of note-writing or talking.
• To by 2006 establish a monthly Sunday where the
  youth lead in service. (song leading, communion,
  presiding and prayer)
• To establish a group of recognized student
  leaders.
• To actively pursue personal relationships with
  others in the group and participate in unity
  building activities.
• To always welcome and greet visitors.

The Lords Invitation
Acts 2619-23 (NIV)19 So then, King Agrippa, I
was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. 20
First to those in Damascus, then to those in
Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles
also, I preached that they should repent and turn
to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.
21 That is why the Jews seized me in the temple
courts and tried to kill me. 22 But I have had
Gods help to this very day, and so I stand here
and testify to small and great alike. I am saying
nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said
would happen 23 that the Christ would suffer
and, as the first to rise from the dead, would
proclaim light to his own people and to the
Gentiles.
