Center tutorial. Small Engine Repair Reference
Center offers detailed, yet user-friendly repair
guides for all types of small engines. Whether
you are looking to do routine maintenance, such
as tune-ups and brake service, or more extensive
repairs to engines and transmissions, Small
Engine Repair Reference Center can help. In this
tutorial, we will look at how to run a basic
search from the home page and how to browse by
category.
3Lets begin by conducting a search from the Basic
Search screen. Enter your search term(s) in the
Find field and click the Search button.
4By default, your search results will appear in
order of relevance, but you can also sort
articles by source, author, or date. Click on a
Full Text link to view the full text article, or
click the title to view details about the
article. Dont have time to read it now? Sign In
to your personal account and click the Add to
Folder link to save the article to your personal
folder. If at any time you wish to return to the
home page, click the product logo.
5You can also browse Small Engine Repair Reference
Center by category. Lets say you need to replace
the front brake pads on your Harley Davidson
motorcycle. Begin by clicking the Motorcycles
category.
6The database will display a list of related
topics. Click a topic (in this case, Harley
Davidson) to expand a list of engine sub-topics.
Continue to navigate through the Engine
Sub-topics until you reach your desired topic.
For example, click FXD Evolution, 1991-1998, then
Brakes, then Front Brake Pads. Click the link to
display the step-by-step instructional document.
7The default screen is the Full Text screen. From
here, you can Print, E-mail, Save, Cite, or
Export the document by clicking the corresponding
icons under the Tools Menu, which appears on the
right side of the screen. Or, click the Detailed
Record screen to view citation information for
the article.
8To view the complete online Help system, click
the Help link at the top right of the Small
Engine Repair Reference Center home screen.
