confession (vs. 16), You are the Christ, the Son
of the living God.

which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. - We build upon the foundation, (by preaching to
and converting others), but there is no other
foundation than Christ. - So then neither he who plants is anything, nor
he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

woman belongs to the man alone in marriage, the
church belongs solely to Christ.

worship in spirit and truth. - It is Christ who has established
- Our worship must be with the proper spirit
- Our worship must be in accord with His will

- And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some
prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and
teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for
the work of ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity
of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the
stature of the fullness of Christ 15 but,
speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all
things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from
whom the whole body, joined and knit together by
what every joint supplies, according to the
effective working by which every part does its
share, causes growth of the body for the edifying
of itself in love.

Christ. He is its head and savior.
18Conclusion
Since the church (the
body of Christ) belongs to Him, we
should wear His
name, submit to His will, and proclaim our
allegiance to Him and Him alone as our Lord and
Savior.
