2Purpose of the liturgical calendar
The calendar can be separated into four seasons
that have special days set aside for
celebrating. These celebrations are special
times for remembering what is important in our
lives. These events help us connect with people
and recall significant memories.
3- Celebrations help us remember whats important
and what we believe in. - Ex Birthdays, anniversaries , graduations, etc.
4- Celebrations also have an important place in
our spiritual life. - They bring us a renewed sense of who we are as
Gods people.

express their faith in Christ. -

with the apostles who celebrated the first day of
the week, the Lords Day, because is was the
day of Jesus resurrection. - We celebrate the life, death and resurrection
of Jesus which is called the paschal mystery.

important aspect of Christs life and also
commemorates saints and some important events in
Marys life.
