18-3 Ohms Law Resistance and Resistors

• Simon Ohm (1787-1854) established experimentally
  that the current in a metal wire is proportional
  to voltage.
• Ohms law states VIR or that current in a
  conductor is proportional to the voltage, in
  metal conductors. (See p533)
• Some materials are non-ohmic.
