MiRS 5th Release to OSDPD

• MiRS DAP package to be delivered to OSDPD on
  December 12th.
• Package tested daily on all sensors on the STAR
  machines (Linux).
• Package tested on OSDPD IBM machines as well
  (orbital mode)
• Performances reviewed in SRR. Complements to that
  review in this meeting.
• Improvements to Surface properties and to surface
  pre-classifiers and extended validation to
  include NIC, AMSR-E and GDAS
• Further validation/assessments of the rainfall
  rate
• Extensive products-quality monitoring added

MiRS SRR Feedback

• SRR held 4 weeks ago
• All POPs, stakeholders, oversight panel members
  were invited.
• Code review held at the same time
• 11 Action items gathered
• Recommendations from PrePOP (overlapped with
  planned activities)
• All actions taken in response to action items and
  recommendations were documented and sent by
  successive emails to concerned parties
