Background and approach

• FAC to form a task force chaired by USA
• Chairs of the Goal committees, IDI, the Secretary
  General and Director of Strategic Planning
  together with the Chair make up the task force
• All member SAIs shall have opportunity to comment
  on the Plan
• Goal Chairs responsible for the Update under
  their respective Goal

• New plan merely an update of the current Plan
• Same Goals, Mission and Vision as before
• New strategies (programs and activities) to be
  added and some of the established strategies to
  be maintained
• Expected Benefits

SAI Comments first Hearing round

• Comments and proposed new Strategies and Expected
  benefits under the four goals
• More focus on key challenges that INTOSAI are
  likely to face from 2011 onwards
• A new chapter in the document reflecting those
  key challenges.
