Checkpoint ManagerBLCR Status

• Users on at least 4 continents
• They are even reporting bugs!
• Bug fixes
• Works through about Linux 2.6.11.x
• Partial AMD64/EM64T port
• Next step is process groups/sessions
• Needed for jobs which are shell scripts
• OpenMPI work anticipated this summer
• Have sketch for LRS-based XML

Process ManagerProgress (ANL)

• We continue to expand the capabilities of MPD
  behind the API of the SSS process manager. Some
  of this has been driven by MPICH2 users wanting
  more functionality in mpiexec.
• mpiexec can be thought of as an alternate process
  manager interface for interactive users.
• This led to a complete rewrite of the MPD
  implementation to be more object-oriented and
  Pythonic.
• We have provided a non-MPD implementation of the
  SSS process manager API for BlueGene.
