Approximately half (47) of the all students
attended at least one SI session. 563-one hour
sessions were conducted generating over 2,500
contact hours

6Grade DistributionSI versus Non-SI group
FA06/SP07/FA07/SP08/FA08
Successful completions in the SI Group (69) far
exceed the Non-SI (40). The of Ws were
significantly higher among Non-SI Group (33)
relative to the SI Group (13), Ws and Fs
account for over ½ of non-SI grades.

10Key Findings Next Steps
- Math 96 2nd semester of supporting with SI with
up side down results (2 different instructors) -
- Next step determined the cause before
further M96 SI support is given on MVC - Hypothesis i.e.
possibility due to under-prepared M90 entering
M96 -
- - test preppers 1 to 4 sessions attendees
- Summer session SI 4 sections SU08 with little
or no success- summer students tend to be
stronger academically - Next step MVC will not run SI in future
summer sessions - Increases success rate
- Selection of courses are data based driven
- BSI funded - 3 classes (math 50,51,96) as a
result SI courses will be offered in - history (FA08,SP09)
- psychology (FA08,SP09)
- Spanish (SP09)
