  sensitive) materials consisting of metallic
  silver in chemical compound with iodine, chlorine
  or bromine. When light strikes silver salts,
  causes darkening.
• Latent Image invisible specks of silver ( a
  pattern of ) which become visible due to
  development process which causes more silver to
  deposit around latent image specks

• Slow films have smaller and more crystals finer
  grain
• Faster film better for low light situations
• Faster film can also be better for depth of field
  because smaller aperture setting can be utilized
  or faster shutter (remember, fast film is more
  light sensitive so less exposure time and amount
  required)
