GET Guaranteed Education Tuition Program

• Washington States prepaid tuition program (529
  Savings Plan under Federal IRS rules)
• Lock cost of future college tuition by purchasing
  units today
• Fund guaranteed by the state to pay costs of
  future tuition
• Units should be purchased at least two years in
  advance
• 529 Tip Have grandparents take out a 529 pay
  directly to the school/college

• Recommend completing between January 1st and
  February 1st
• March 15 deadline for most Two-Year and Technical
  Colleges
• Grants
• Work Study
• Loans (Subsidized No interest and Pay when
  completed)
• Discuss options with parents
• Interest/Payments do not begin until after
  graduation
