Title: John Adams
1Second President of the United States John Adams
John Adams grew up and lived in Braintree,
Massachusetts. Today, the town is now Quincy,
Massachusetts. The first home is where he grew
up as a child and young man. The next home is a
replica of his childhood home that he built for
his wife, Abigail. The Old House or PEACEFIELD is
where they lived after he finished his first and
only term as the Second President of the United
States. Adams died at PEACEFIELD. The last
picture is the entrance to his library, one of
the most beautiful libraries (with thousands of
books) that I have ever seen. John Adams and his
son, John Quincy Adams (our Sixth President of
the United States) used it immensely. The floor
inside the library is made of small tile brought
in from Italy and only one piece is a different
color from all the rest because John Adams
believed that only God was perfect. Finally, John
Adams said it perfectly in his own words.
