• Então voltaram para Jerusalém, do monte chamado
  das Oliveiras, que está perto de Jerusalém, à
  distância da jornada de um sábado.
• E, entrando, subiram ao cenáculo, onde
  permaneciam Pedro e João, Tiago e André, Felipe e
  Tomé, Bartolomeu e Mateus Tiago, filho de Alfeu,
  Simão o Zelote, e Judas, filho de Tiago.

• Then they returned to Jeru salem from the Mount
  called Olives, which is a fifteen-minute walk
  away.
• On entering the city they went to the room
  upstairs where they were staying.
• Present there were Peter, John, James and Andrew
  Philip and Thomas, Bar tholo mew and Matthew,
  James, son of Alpheus Simon the Zealot and Judas
  son of James.

• All of these together gave themselves to constant
  prayer. With them were some women and also Mary,
  the mo ther of Jesus, and his brothers.
•  When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they
  were all in one place together.
• And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like
  a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire
  house in which they were.

• Todos estes perseveravam unanimemente em oração,
  com as mulheres, e Maria, mãe de Jesus, e com os
  irmãos dele.
•  Quando chegou o dia de Pentecostes, os
  discípulos estavam todos reunidos no mesmo lugar.
  
• De repente, veio do céu um ruído como de um vento
  forte, que encheu toda a casa em que se
  encontravam.

• Então apareceram línguas como de fogo que se
  repartiram e pousaram sobre cada um deles.
•  Todos ficaram cheios do Espírito Santo e
  começaram a falar em outras línguas, conforme o
  Espírito lhes concedia expressar-se.
• Residiam em Jerusalém judeus devotos, de todas as
  nações que há debaixo do céu.
•  Quando ouviram o ruído, reuniu-se a multidão, e
  todos ficaram confusos, pois cada um ouvia os
  discípulos falar em sua própria língua.

• Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire,
  which parted and came to rest on each one of
  them. And they were all filled with the holy
  Spirit and began to speak in different tongues,
  as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
• Now there were devout Jews from every nation
  under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound,
  they gathered in a large crowd, but they were
  confused because each one heard them speaking in
  his own language.

• They were astounded, and in amazement they asked,
  "Are not all these people who are speaking
  Galileans?
• Then how does each of us hear them in his own
  native language?

Miingon sila, Unsa man kini? Dili ba silang
tanan mga taga-Galilea? Nganong makasulti man
sila sa atong kaugalingong pinulongan?
Cheios de espanto e de admiração, diziam Esses
homens que estão falando não são todos galileus?
Como é que nós os escutamos na nossa língua de
origem?

• We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites,
  inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,
  Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and
  the districts of Libya near Cyrene , as well as
  travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to
  Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them
  speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of
  God."

Nós, que somos partas, medos e elamitas,
habitantes da Mesopotâmia, da Judéia e da
Capadócia, do Ponto e da Ásia, da Frígia e da
Panfília, do Egito e da parte da Líbia próxima de
Cirene, e os romanos aqui residentes, judeus e
prosélitos, cretenses e árabes, todos nós os
escutamos anunciando as maravilhas de Deus em
nossa própria língua!
Ang uban kanato taga-Partia. May mga taga-Media,
ug ang uban taga-Elam. May mga taga-Mesopotamia,
Judea, ug Capadocia. May mga taga-Ponto ug Asia.
Ang uban mga taga-Frigia, mga taga-Pamfilia, mga
taga-Ehipto ug ang uban gikan sa mga dapit nga
sakop sa Libia nga duol sa Cirene. May mga
taga-Roma usab, mga Judio, ug mga dili Judio nga
nakabig sa relihiyon sa mga Judio. Ug ang uban
gikan sa Creta ug Arabia. Apan bisan
nagkalain-lain ang atong mga pinulongan madunggan
nato sila nga nagsulti sa tanan natong mga
pinulongan mahitungod sa katingalahang mga gihimo
sa Dios!

Natingala gayod ang tanang mga tawo didto. Ug
tungod kay dili nila masabtan kon unsay
nanghitabo nagpangutan-anay na lamang sila sa
usag usa, Unsa man kini? Apan ang uban
nagbugalbugal sa mga tumutuo nga nag-ingon, Mga
hubog kining mga tawhana!
Todos estavam pasmados e perplexos, e diziam uns
aos outros Que significa isso?

• They were all astounded and bewildered, and said
  to one another, "What does this mean?"
