- 2Q2004 SUPPLIER GUIDE
- Welcome to Bechtel and its Houston Regional
Execution Unit (HEU). -
- Our success has always been closely linked with
our ability to create a dynamic team with our
suppliers and contractors. To facilitate this
process during 2004 we will conduct an "Open
Supplier Forum" on a quarterly basis (January,
April, July, and November) on the first Tuesday
of that month at 900 a.m. -
- The Execution Unit activities are supported by
the on and off-project teams. Contacting the
project teams and the Multi-Project Acquisition
Groups (MPAGs) directly is the key to marketing
your products/services at Bechtel. Tools
available to assist in determining opportunities
are listed below. These tools are available from
the receptionist at the Houston office and the
Open Supplier Forum. We do not mail, fax, or
e-mail. - Active Project Listing - Contains a
description of the active projects with key
contacts and their telephone numbers, which also
may be also be found out on the Bechtel website
https//supplier.bechtel.com. Under Global
Business Units, select Petroleum and Chemical. - MPAG Listing - Contains a description of
the Multi-Project Acquisition Groups by commodity
or component types along with key contacts and
their telephone numbers. -
- Bechtel does not maintain master bidders list
since Procurement procedures and client
requirements are unique for each project.
Therefore, Procurement and the project team
develop potential bidders list on each project.
We also attempt to maximize our business
opportunities with our strategic suppliers and
suppliers having Global and Regional Agreements. -
- We welcome and encourage small, minority, and
women-owned business firms to attend our
quarterly forum and to participate in our
projects. -
