2THE MANDATE
- To initiate, stimulate, encourage, promote,
develop, support, assist, undertake, finance,
provide, manage, operate and/or maintain programs
and projects or enterprises for the improvement,
promotion and advancement of LANDBANKs priority
clients which include agrarian reform
beneficiaries, farmers, tillers, fishermen,
agricultural workers and the overseas Filipino
workers (OFWs) for the social and economic
development of the countryside.
3PRIORITY THRUSTS
- Priority thrusts are in institution and
capability building - services in various forms and levels of
modalities in the - Delivery, namely
- classroom-type trainings,
- training modules design and development,
- conduct and publications of popularized
research/case studies, - mainstreaming/integrating groups and individual
SFFs/ARBs to key cooperatives, - development and publications of instructional
materials, and - Scholarship grants or other forms of support for
education.

5Being a Rural Bank-Partner of the Foundation
- To be a partner of the Foundation, a rural bank
needs only to signify its intent to participate
in the Foundations core programs, such as the
Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP)
and its Reintegration Program for Overseas
Filipino Workers.

- The purposes, goals and objectives of the
partnership are to initiate, develop, implement,
coordinate and assessed development
programs/projects per municipality/city of the
Philippines where the Rural Bank-Partner operates
in specific areas of concerns that address
poverty eradication and integrated community
development .
7Role of the Foundation in the ICDP Partnership
with Rural Bank
- Training and other direct or indirect technical
and financial support to the Partner and their
small farmers/fisherfolks and other marginalized
clients - Technical and financial assistance to develop,
improve or enhance any particular office or
function or project of the Partner - Facilitate professional volunteers to assist the
partner/s - Provide Partners with Publications, Training and
Reading Materials, Data Bases and other
Research/Scientific Papers relevant to their
operations and this partnership - Maintain a corps of Community Development
Specialists/Representatives per municipality from
among the staff of LandBank and its group of
Companies and Affiliates
8 Role of Rural Bank-Partner in ICDP
- Provide the Foundation copy of its Annual Plans
and Programs, goals and objectives particularly
the outreach, both geographically and in
numbersof small farmers/fisherfolks and other
marginalized sectors - Participate in the development, implementation,
supervision and assessment of Joint Action
Program with the Foundation, LandBank (LBP)and
other institutions within the LandBank family - Furnish the Foundation copies of its in-house
publications such as newsgrams, bulletins,
journals, annual reports and other
papers/documents where the Partner was cited,
assessed and/or featured. - Furnish the Foundation copies of Partners
researches, impact assessments, surveys and other
scientific or technical reports on papers
published. - Participate in Dialogue/Conferences, Programs of
Activities, Assessment Workshops etc., called for
or initiated by the Foundation for the
maintenance and sustenance of this partnership
agreement. - Coordinate with the Community Development
Specialist/Representatives from LandBank or its
group of Companies and Affiliates for integration
of services in Community Development.
9Seminar on Entrepreneurship for Overseas Filipino
Workers (OFWs)
- As part of its assistance program to overseas
Filipino workers, known as GABAY para sa mga
OFWs, the Foundation, conducts seminars on
entrepreneurship, to overseas Filipino workers
and their qualified dependents. The seminars
are free of charge to qualified participants,
covering free lecture and training materials,
free lunch and snacks, AM and PM.

Workers (OFWs)
The role of the rural bank-partner is to mobilize
the qualified OFWs to attend the seminar, provide
the venue for the seminar and also the needed
loan assistance for the enterprises
the OFWs may want to embark on.
