2Purpose of Transformation Roadmaps
- Transformation roadmaps from the Services and
JFCOM are the basis of the Strategic
Transformational Appraisal (STA) process - The STA is an input to the Strategic Planning
Guidance (SPG), which influences PPBE - The STA is also the only DoD-wide appraisal of
transformational efforts - PPBE can give the SecDef the opportunity to lay
the foundation for the future - This has been a Service function in the past by
default

language of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Joint
