  • The degree to which a microscope or lens makes an
    object seem larger than it is.
  • The amount of detail visible increases with
    increased magnification.

  • The diameter of the view will decrease as the
    magnification increases.

Lab Drawing Tips
  • Draw in PENCIL ALWAYS!
  • Drawings should be about 1/4 page in size or kept
    in the circular field of view frame that was
    provided in lab.
  • Specimen labels should be titled in the upper
    left corner of drawing above circular frame.
  • Magnification should be recorded below circular
    frame of drawing
  • Labels should be written horizontally (and
    straight) on the right hand side of drawing.
  • Arrow lines to labels should be straight and go
    from label to drawing.
  • Do not cross label arrow lines.
  • Draw what you see to scale.
