Laboratory predictors

• No specific biomarker directly correlates with
  disease progression or outcome However some
  findings suggest severe disease and higher
  probability of death.
• 1) Leucocytosis
• Total WBC higher in non survivor vs
  survivors
• 2) Lymphocytopenia
• Lymphopenia more marked in non survivors
