About African Culture

• Africa is the crib of civilization. It is home to
  the initial societies on earth. Africa has an
  astonishing collection of religions and cultures,
  which are reflected in the many African culture
  traditions the people engage in. There is no more
  imperative cultural tradition than a wedding
  ritual. These events not only engross religion
  and theology but also family and society.
  Essentially, they represent the bringing together
  of two families or clans.

• There are also a great number of antique
  religious traditions that are precise to Africa.
  But no matter which part of Africa you are in,
  wedding rites are often complex, some of them
  lasting for several days and including numerous
  couples who are married at the same time.
  Polygamy is not unusual in many parts of African
  culture. For instance, in Sudan a man is
  acceptable with as many as four wives. In this
  example, the groom is expected to pay the brides
  family a set fee or bride affluence for the loss
  of their offspring and her labor.
