• Most countries in Celk region have programs for
  digitizing of land information, i.e. Maps and
  Land Books
• Most countries in Celk region have spent several
  years to convert just a few percent of this
  information
• Most countries are facing 10-20 years of data
  conversion activities to reach a complete digital
  management of cadastre data
• Just a few countries have implemented a spatial
  database covering also (geo)graphical information

• New surveys, air based or land based
• Scanning of old paper maps
• Digitizing old land books and registers
• Standard approach to give local surveyors and
  data conversion companies the task, with limited
  resources and tools
• Technology transfer programs could be one
  solution to speed up the process

• We believe that technology transfer programs in
  Croatia and Hungary will show that using new
  technology will increase the speed of data
  conversion and give the cadastre administrations
  higher quality data faster
