  awaiting Philexim guarantee to commence with the
  civil works and order of handling equipment.
  
• Fabrication of cranes will take about 18 months.
• By that time, the berth area shall be completed
  and ready for the delivery of the cranes. A
  conveyor loading system is already operational to
  handle bulk cargoes.

• The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur will take
  responsibility over ROW and access road
  construction.
• Alternative no. 2 was prepared as site for the
  proposed Salomague Port, which is located at
  Municipality of San Juan, Ilocos Sur.
• As per DBM letter dated 11 August 2008, DOTC's
  request for funding support in the amount of Php
  495 Million for the development of port
  facilities in the Salomague Port was denied
  considering that there is no specific
  appropriation for that purpose in the DOTC FY
  2008 budget.

  35.896 or a delay of 157 days based on the
  approved contract schedule.
• However, should the unworkable sea condition be
  considered the negative slippage will be reduced
  to 7.977.
• Failure to mobilized the fully-loaded barge with
  materials from Ormoc due to rough sea condition
  caused the delay in the project.
• The contractor had been advised to undertake
  appropriate measures to catch up with the
  schedule.

  will be on 01 November 2008 once approved.

• The project is 73.790 completed as of 25 July
  2008, behind by 8.417 based on the proposed
  revised construction schedule
• The delay is due to unfavorable result of the
  test pile driven.
• The required bearing power was not attained, thus
  an additional length of test is necessary.
  Likewise, the pile length of regular piles will
  be increased to conform to the actual pile
  driving result.
• The increase in pile length will be covered by a
  Variation Order with a corresponding time
  extension.
• Should the proposed variation be approved, the
  tentative completion date will be on 20 November
  2008.
