for over 25 years. - McKenzie Towne students were designated to Acadia
Elementary in 1996.

Capital Plan ranks an elementary school as
priority number one. - Will the new Catholic school in McKenzie Towne
have an impact on our enrolment? - Rate of growth in McKenzie Towne, Copperfield and
New Brighton?
21Alternatives Considered
- Redirect all new students from McKenzie Towne to
another bus receiver school. - Divide the McKenzie Towne community and designate
Prestwick or Inverness/Elgin to another bus
receiver school.
22Alternatives Considered
- Designate Copperfield and New Brighton to new bus
receiver schools. - Accommodate two classes of grade four at Acadia
and two classes of grade four at David Thompson.
23Recommended Plan for the 2006-2007 School Year
- Accommodate grade four students at David Thompson
Middle School. - Re-direct out-of-attendance area students to
their designated school.
