Success criteria

• We will know we are successful because we will be
  able to understand about the local habitats of
  the polar regions, the different weathers and
  other various things that happen in the polar
  regions

ANIMALS

• There are a number of different types of animals
  that make their home in the polar regions such as
  polar bears, wolverines, birds walrus and seals
• seals live mostly in the water and feed on
• meat because they are carnivores

Global warming

• Global warming is when people use objects that
  create smoke that forms a sort of blanket round
  the Earth making the climate change
• This global warming is affecting the ice which is
  melting the animals habitat
• If we dont stop all the ice will melt and there
  will be no more antartica

• Penguins eat fish and other varieties of food
• The males keep the eggs warm until they hatch
• Penguins are mainly black and white
• They live on average up to 15 years old but if
  held in captivity 40 years

Polar bears!

• Polar bears rarely live to the age of 25
• The oldest polar bear was 35 when it died
• The polar bear is the first animal endangered
  because of global warming

• Although polar bears can be cute the can be
  vicious when threatened
• The are carnivores
• Their main diet would be fish and seals

• Weather in Antartica changes drastically
• Winter there can be very dangerous
• It is so cold that water would freeze within a
  matter of minutes
• But summer is different
• In summer all, the ice melts and its very bad for
  animals, such as polar bears

Plants in the polar regions

• There are not many plants in the polar regions
  because of all the snow and ice
• Except for sometimes in the summer some herbs,
  moss and fungi and occasionally some trees
