- Introduce the NIACE/LSC/NIMHE (part of CSIP)
Partnership Programme - Consider the importance of, and barriers to,
education and training to people with mental
health needs. - Outline the support available to improve access
for this client group. - Objectives participants will
- Have an understanding of the work of the
Partnership Programme - Have discussed the importance of education
training to people with mental health needs, and
looked at barriers. - Have an awareness of current and future
initiatives to improve access.

good practice - One in Four newsletter produced and shared

Action Plan work in progress
- Each region will undertake to
- Build capacity of sectors
- Boost demand for learning
- Ensure quality of provision
- Raise achievement levels of learners with mental
health difficulties - Each regional action plan is differentiated to
- take into account the particular learning and
skills - needs of the region.
