science which is about how a certain sound is
being processed by the human ear.

Students will be able to steadily hear the
frequencies which they found to be inaudible
before using this training method and previously
caused communication problems. Significant
improvements in listening comprehension and
spoken skills can be obtained in as few as 12
sessions with SpeedLingua.

5 Using SpeedLingua
Learners begin each SpeedLingua practice section
by listening to 15 minutes of recorded music that
gradually modulates into the frequency of the
target language, readying their ears to listen.
Learners choose from multi-level exercises and
topic-specific prompts or select FreeSpeak mode
to read from any text including presentations,
classroom texts, or passages provided by
instructors.
After the practice session, students take
pronunciation and listening comprehension tests
to gauge their success. Teachers and
administrators can monitor student test results
when SpeedLingua is installed over a network.

6 Using a headset with a microphone, a SpeedLingua
user either repeats a recorded prompt or reads a
passage of her choosing.
SpeedLingua instantly analyses the learners
voice, adjusts it to match the frequency of the
target language, and plays it back through the
learners headphones.
The learner hears her own voice in real time in
the frequency of the target language and
unconsciously adjusts here pronunciation to match
what she is hearing.
The active process of SpeedLingua comprises
instantaneous analysis, modification and replay
of the users speech. The result of this process
is that earners hear their voices, as they speak,
with characteristics of the target language.
SpeedLinguass patented, research-based
technology represents a breakthrough in preparing
students for successful listening and speaking
and is designed to complement classroom-based and
electronic language education programs.
