The Cappella Sansevero (also known as the Capella Sansevero de' Sangri or Pietatella) is a chapel located in the historic center of Naples. The chapel contains works of art by some of the leading Italian artists of the 18th century. Its origin dates to 1590 when John Francesco di Sangro, Duke of Torremaggiore, after recovering from a serious illness, had a private chapel built in what were then the gardens of the nearby Sansevero family residence, the Palazzo Sansevero. The building was converted into a family burial chapel by Alessandro di Sangro in 1613 (as inscribed on the marble plinth over the entrance to the chapel). Definitive form was given to the chapel by Raimondo di Sangro, Prince of Sansevero, who also included Masonic symbols in its reconstruction. Until 1888 a passageway connected the Sansevero palace with the chapel

Klobouk v evropském malířství - Hat in European paintings (Olga E.) Klobouk je součást oblečení, slouží jako pokrývka hlavy. Nejčastějším materiálem pro výrobu klobouku je vlněné sukno, plst, používají se však i materiály jiné – kůže (jezdecké a westernové klobouky), lehké tkaniny jako len, rostlinná vlákna jako sláma nebo štípaný bambus (vhodné k vodě). Klobouky bývají opatřeny stuhou s mašlí, štítkem, monogramem, erbem. Mohou být ozdobeny ptačími pery, i pštrosími, umělými květinami či ovocem. Dámské klobouky mívají dvě mašle k zavázání pod bradu. The Villa San Michele was built around the turn of the 19th century on the Isle of Capri, Italy, by the Swedish physician and author Axel Munthe. Villa San Michele is not your customary museum. Rather, it is a place where the spirit of Axel Munthe lives on. In his later years, Axel Munthe wrote his haunting youthful memoir The Story of San Michele, which describes how he first discovered the island and built the villa, decorated with the remains of palaces built by the Ancient Romans which he found on his land. This colourfully written book was first published in 1929 and became an immediate worldwide success, being translated into many languages. It has been reprinted many times since then.
