There are three components in the da Vinci system. These are the patient cart, the surgeon’s console and the vision cart. These three components work in coordination and allows the surgeon to visualize and monitor the functioning of the robot during surgery. The patient’s cart is the place on which the patient lies for surgery. The cart is fitted with the camera and is attached to several surgical instruments.
