Yakkery - Promoting post-Jamboree Scouting

- Services are provided at troop sites SA
Contingent HQ - You can contact SATS in person or by phone
- On-call service 24/7 for after-hours
crisis/emergencies - Each Troop will have two assigned SATS
officersa primary contact and a buddy for
relief and after-hours - SATS Officers will visit troops and activity
sites at random generally once or twice each
day - Think about inviting your SATS officer to lunch
one day

- Troop Support Office
- Transportable building at SA Contingent HQ
- Private office/interview room available for
discrete counselling - Troop Support Officers
- Camp at SA Contingent HQ
- Spend their days visiting troops (random or
programmed visits) - Have lunch within Troop Lines if possible
- Have an on-call roster for after-hours callout
- Have radio contact whenever mobile
- Will all be trained in counselling techniques
- Are hand-picked for their personable approach,
Jamboree experience, and can-do attitude

- Homesickness
- Leader reassurance and keep them busy
- Engage in fun activities
- SATS Youth Support can visit if requested
- Serious trauma or incidents
- First aid if necessary
- Report to SATS as soon as possible
- SATS will escalate to Jamboree Office for ongoing
liaison

- Same behavioural practices as in South Australia
- Reportable conduct to be reported direct
toDirector Troop Support without delay - Director Troop Support will assign appropriate
action and keep you informed as appropriate - Grievances and Disputes
- Manage within the Troop if possible
- Discuss with your SATS Officer if necessary
- SATS Officer will escalate if unresolved

of fun - SATS is geared up to help take some of the stress
and sharp edges off the work, so you can have
more fun. - A Jamboree should be memorable for all the right
reasons. Our job is to help make this true for
