• SAFIRE-A is a far infrared fourier transform
  spectrometer operating onboard Geophysica
  Stratospheric Aircraft.
• MARSCHALS Millimetre-wave Airborne Receiver for
  Spectroscopic CHaracterisation of Atmospheric
  Limb-Sounding, which is a European Space Agency
  prototype airborne instrument

The M55- Geophysica
The M-55 Geophysica is a dual turbofan aircraft
produced by Myasishchev Design Bureau (MDB). The
aircraft can carry heavy payloads of the order of
1500 kg and can operate at an altitude up to
21-22 km for about 5-6 hours.

MARSCHALS

• MARSCHALS is an heterodyne instrument that
  measures the atmospheric thermal emission with
  the limb sounding technique, operates within the
  atmosphere on an air-borne platform.
• Major objective is to test measurements
  capabilities of MASTER
