Communication Process
  • 3 step process
  • 1st--Communicate with coach
  • 2nd-- A) Request to meet/talk with athletic
    coordinator head coach
  • B) Appeal to District AD
  • 3rd--Request to meet/talk with the Principal

Academic Eligibility
  • Read the academic eligibility in the brown
    information bulletin included with registration
    material.
  • Must be making sufficient progress toward
    graduation.

Middle School Participation
  • If no program exists in the middle school, 7-8th
    graders can compete on the high school teams.
  • If a program does exist, 7-8th graders can
    compete on the varsity(if they make the varsity
    team)

Transfer Rule
  • 1st transfer is freeif the athlete is enrolled
    in the school on the first day.
  • If the transfer occurs during the school year or
    a 2nd transfer, the athlete must sit out 50 of
    all varsity seasons for 1 calendar year.

Physical Forms
  • Doctor must use the High School League Form
  • Physical must be updated every 3 years
  • Must be on file in the main office.

Summer Waiver
  • Coaches may coach the high school players from
    the 4th Friday in May through July 31st.
  • Summer participation cannot be mandatory.

NCAA Eligibility
  • 14 core class requirement for NCAA eligibility
  • Please see your counselor for more information
    AND the back page of the athlete information
    packet.

Drug/Alcohol Violation
  • A student shall not at any time, regardless of
    the quantity
  • Use or consume, have in possession a beverage
    containing alcohol
  • Use or consume, have in possession tobacco or
  • Use or consume, have in possession, buy, sell or
    give away any other controlled substance

Harassment Hazing
  • Committing an act, that creates a substantial
    risk of harm to a person (physical, mental,
    intimidation)
  • Harassment, hazing, chemical, drug abuse all
    carry the same violation penalties.

Violation Penalties
  • 1st violation 2 weeks or 2 games whichever is
    longer.
  • 2nd violation3 weeks or 6 games whichever is
    longer.
  • 3rd violation4 weeks or 12 games whichever is
    longer.
