2What is Integrated Systems Technology?
Integrated Systems Technology (IST) is the
newest, high demand career opportunity in
America! IST workers can set-up and operate or
maintain, calibrate, and repair the manufacturing
equipment found in todays industrial
environments.
3What is the economic impact of IST?
Companies are dependent upon IST workers to
maintain the equipment needed to perform many of
todays tasks. A lack of skilled IST workers
can increase equipment down-time. It is
projected that, for each IST worker not replaced
when he/she retires, 17 other employees may lose
their jobs.
4How will skilled IST workers benefit your company?
- Operating costs and equipment
- replacement will decrease.
- Less down-time translates into
- greater productivity.
- IST professionals are ready to fill the shortage
of workers in fast-paced, high-tech, high-demand
IST occupations!
5What skills do IST workers provide?
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of
equipment. - Maintain electrical and mechanical systems found
in todays manufacturing firms.
6What systems do IST workers install and maintain?
