EPA (Economic Partnership Agreement) between
Mexico Japan

• EPA Mexico-Japan will be effective on April 01,
  2005.
• Import Duty of Steel Products will stay during
  first 5 years, and from the 6th year to 10th year
  the duty will be reduced in accordance with
  staging program.
• Steel Products for Automotive, Electric,
  Electronic and Capital Goods industries for
  certain uses, will be exceptional.
• Under EPA, Japan will continue to export to
  Mexico the steel products unable to be
  substituted and covered by national products.
